When submitting please mention if you’re either interested in paying the fee or not. The fee is completely optional and will never be forced if you decide against it. Please note: 20% of the proceeds generated from this magazine will go towards selecting lucky, underprivileged, emerging writers to helping their dreams of being published come true.
When sending an email, use the subject line as so: GENRE/FORMAT: TITLE BY AUTHOR
WHAT IS ACCEPTED?
FORMATS ACCEPTED: Narrative/Prose, Spec Screenplay, Comics, Graphic Novellas, and NonFiction.
GENRES ACCEPTED: Fantasy, SciFi, Horror, Mystery, Romance, Erotica, Life, Art, Culture, and Entertainment.
THEMES ACCEPTED: Depends on Style.
Some Examples:
POETRY– Deep and dark. Think Edgar Allen Poe meets Walt Whitman and Robert Frost in an abyss.
FICTION– Redemption, survival, beating the odds, change, taking a chance, relatable villain arc, not all heroes are good guys, and rising from the ashes.
NONFICTION– Creative NonFiction is allowed. We also allow Quizzes, Listicles, Honest Reviews and Ratings, Personal Experiences, Advice, and Helpful Tips. Gaming related content is encouraged. Topics preferred: Life, Art, Culture, Entertainment.
- None of the usual “10 Ways to Spruce Up Your Love Life” or “How To Make Your Home Office Work For You” type articles.
- Make them bold and unexpected.
- Be rude if you need to.
Simple Submission Guidelines To Submit Your Story:
Works need to be less than 15,000 Words in a .doc/.docx file via electronic submission. Longer works may be considered as well, but nothing over 30k.
—Simultaneous Submissions: We accept simultaneous submissions.
—Timing: Submissions may be sent to us at any time, year-round.
Must be unique, raw, and risk-taking type of works. Be brave, don’t shy away. (Pen Names will be allowed if you feel the need to remain anonymous)
What Do The Fees Cover?
On the pricing table you’ll see the services provided with each one. But what’s not listed is the advertising each item will receive. The fees will cover for those to be advertised across social media. This will enable the reach the author may wish to obtain and help gain them exposure for new and emerging authors/artists.
WHY SUBMIT A STORY?
When you submit, you’re doing more than just showing your love and support for the show. You’re unlocking a chance to be a part of the show! Break The Bull™ is the one site you can publish your articles with topics most sites won’t let you submit. With the exception that you own the rights to all content submitted, of course, and as long as it is not libelous, misleading, inaccurate, or harmful in anyway. And you can always opt-out of these extra perks as well. No commitment required. But don’t waste your chance at becoming apart of something great!
Freedom of Speech is still a thing. So don’t let your story go unnoticed, and let that voice shine here on Break The Bull.

(If you feel like your rights have been violated by one of the contributors/authors please feel free to submit a Request for Removal email below).
